The Fondation Cartier invites four performers from Matthew Barney's SECONDARY video installation to present their own in situ creations.

Discussion with Matthew Barney and David Thomson, followed by "A plump single-color bulb, or a dance" by Wally Cardona with Jonathan Bepler

Artist Matthew Barney and choreographer David Thomson meet to discuss, in public, their collaboration in the context of the creation of SECONDARY as well as the resonances of this work on their personal stories. Then, choreographer, dancer and performer Wally Cardona teams with Jonathan Bepler for a performance between dance and experimental music.

Raphael Xavier, « Grid Iron Solo »

The American dancer and performer Raphael Xavier (interpreting Jack Tatum in the video installation SECONDARY) explores the psychological effects that American football may have on the players. The SECONDARY exhibition by Matthew Barney will be exceptionally open after the performance.

Marathon : Matthew Barney, "The Cremaster Cycle"

The Fondation Cartier offers a retrospective of The Cremaster Cycle in its entirety, a cinematic journey through five films made by Matthew Barney between 1994 and 2002. The Fondation Cartier joins forces with the Christine Cinéma Club, the legendary independent art house cinema, for these never-before-seen screenings.
